Time spent in Oxford both inspires and enlightens, allowing for the researcher to study and represent buildings without conventional constraints. By focussing upon other disciplines and allowing for differing perspectives, the built environment and subsequent metaphysical relationships can be discovered.
Frequent trips to the Ashmolean were therefore treated archaeologically. Rather than using a brush to reduce layers of concealing earth, the layers themselves were identified using pencil, ink and pixel - a true palimpsest.
