



SIPs were used to create a new-build house for a young family on the North Cornwall coast. Fægen were appointed to take forward the outline planning permission and realise the project acting as lead designer, project manager and liaising with building control, structural and M&E engineers, as well as quantity controls. Due to the high outlay of connecting to the National Grid, it was deemed more economically viable to install an array of PVs, solar water heating and using passive solar gain to create a completely ‘off grid’ dwelling.
